Postcard swop

I've been doing a postcard swop via Ravelry. Two postcards of London (I couldn't find any Olympics ones, so just got London touristy ones) winged their way very quickly over the Atlantic to the US and Canada. And I've just received one myself from Long Island, which looks very summery. And it's from another librarian!

I got the Essential Cardigan finished. And I'm rather pleased with it. Not only does it fit (!), it's very comfy to wear, the yarn feels lovely and soft and it's actually smart enough to wear for work - which was my original aim. Now that I've blocked it it's ended up longer, with longer sleeves - I'd been aiming for 3/4 length, which is pretty much what's happened.

I did make buttonholes down one side but I haven't sewn any buttons on as I usually wear cardigans open like this so they'd never get used. I could always add some later if I feel like it!

Hooray, something I've made that I can actually wear (other than socks!).

The cardigan is cute! Is it purple or red? The first photo looks purple-ish/pink to me, whereas the photo of you wearing it makes it look more red.

Either way, it's cute and looks good on you. Smart to add the buttonholes, even though you aren't sure you want buttons--at least you have the option, now!

The Long Island postcard looks nice doesnt it. Your cardigan looks great on you, and yes it looks majenta on the top pic and red on the bottom but both nice colors. I might need to knit one for me too.

Cardigan looks great. I echo belovedbrowneyes in asking which of the photos has the more accurate colour?

I love this cardigan and you look great in it. I like the idea of adding the buttonholes as an option for later...
I also want to knit a few cardis for myself for being able to wear more layering outfits to stretch my favourite summer tops into fall :-)
